1. Preparation: All components (tube ends, ferrules, and fitting bodies) are meticulously inspected for scratches or defects.
2. Assembly: A ferrule is slid onto the tube end. The tube is then inserted into the fitting body until it bottoms out.
3. Fastening: The nut is hand-tightened, then tightened with a wrench for a specific number of turns or to a specific torque. This action causes the ferrule to form a permanent, mechanical grip on the tube and creates a seal between the tube and the fitting body.
4. Critical Feature: The internal seal is a face seal (not a thread seal), resulting in a smooth, flush, internal surface with no gaps, cavities, or threads where bacteria could hide.
5. Disassembly & Cleaning: They are designed for frequent disassembly. The connection can be broken for thorough Clean-in-Place (CIP) or Steam-in-Place (SIP) processes and reassembled reliably.
